#steameducation works 👊 Last weekend, I had the chance to bring together my passion and background in art, with my skills in technology. Through a 48-hour Makers Marathon, students in the tech sector had a chance to use the @cityfab1 facilities to digitally design and build a prototype of an idea. It was such a thrill coaching these young people through their first experience with design. The art world is an incredible entryway into so many aspects of science and technology, which often gets overlooked in the standard educational system. When we teach through art, we can reach students who learn through doing. We need these creative thinkers to be part of the science and technology world, because they bring the innovative and diverse backgrounds that push the sector into crucial new directions. So for all those working in science and technology I would say this: reach out to artists, to makers, and to builders. I guarantee they have something unique to share about the learning experience. "Memento Vitae" My latest mission was to create a sculpture that would use new technologies to amplify ancient art techniques.
